Having Fun!!!

On a day to day basis, most people have stress and my life is no exception. I work a full-time job (six days a week); take care of our home (chores) and family. Aside from the normal activities in my daily life, I do enjoy relaxing and reading a great book. Reading a book is a huge stress reliever.

Recently, I’ve started listening to audiobooks. I absolutely love them! Two days a week I’m stuck in a car (by myself) driving on a highway, for at least two hours. I listen to an audiobook in my car and read an actual book (in my hand) in the evenings. My husband and I also listen to audiobooks together. It’s usually something we both want to read (listen to) and we’ll listen to that audiobook while we relax outside on the deck or in the pool.

Currently I have two audiobooks going and reading one in hand. It’s been a lot of fun. Seriously, I’d rather read a book than watch television. Not that I don’t like movies, because I do, but since Friends is no longer on the air, television has gotten a bit boring to me.

Now, I can’t wait to drive a long distance because I’m eager to listen to the audiobook in my car. It makes the long commute more bearable. Is listening to an audiobook like cheating? No, I don’t think so. They’re unabridged, word for word, and besides, I can’t read a book while I’m driving. I’d probably get a ticket, lol. It’s against the law to text and drive in my state, so I think reading a book while driving would be on the same lines, lol. At the same time, I can’t wait to relax on the deck with my husband and listen to the audiobook we’ve chosen to listen to together. My husband also works a full-time job, so he tends to go to bed earlier than I do, so that’s when I read a book in hand. You’d think I’d get confused with three books going on at the same time, but I don’t and I’m having sooo much fun!

But when do I find time to market my books, blog, update my website, record and edit videos for my YouTube channel, research and write? Let me just say, I’m a normal person and I do get tired. A lot! I tend to stay up late at night. Really late! When the house is as quiet as a mouse (lol, it’s not Christmas yet), I do all these things. Currently I’m writing a YA book, My Name is Rapunzel and I can’t wait to finish it!

As I’ve mentioned, I have a YouTube channel. On my channel, I have videos about some of my book hauls, book reviews and some fun video (book) tags. I must say, I’ve been having a ton of fun watching other book channels in the book-tubing community. Recently I had a HUGE giveaway for the ENTIRE River of Time Series by Lisa T. Bergren. It went really well, and the response was wonderful. I’m planning to do another giveaway soon!
