Meeting Mr. George R.R. Martin

It’s always great to meet an awesome author! Tonight Mr. George R.R. Martin held a book signing at Joseph-Beth Booksellers in Lexington, KY.  He was promoting his new book A Dance With Dragons.

Mr. Martin has a wonderful personality. He had the crowd laughing several times throughout his talk.  I especially loved hearing the story of how he began writing when he was only nine years old.

I would have bet money the air conditioning was turned off. The place was jam packed with people and the body heat made it nearly unbearable, but it was so worth it.

I was fortunate enough to have been able to get VIP line passes for myself and our two boys.  Note to self: charge camera battery before attending important events!
