Script Adaptation – Screenplay by Heather Turman

I can’t believe it’s been so long since I’ve written a post, but a lot has happened and I’ve been super busy. Aside from working and writing and everything else that comes along in life, my awesome husband and I joined CrossFit. I’m on a weight-loss journey and we’re both gaining muscle. Although, we work our asses off, we absolutely love it! I challenged myself to finish 50, 5Ks by my 50th birthday and I only have 17 more to go. Yay!

I’m nearly finished writing Saving Finkleton, the third book in the Finkleton series. I still have some work to do, then off to the editors it’ll go. Yay!

In June 2018 I signed a contract with LA screenplay writer Heather Turman for Cars, Coffee, and a Slightly Used Casket (Julia Karr book 2). Parts of the first book will be included in the screenplay. Writing a script adaptation is not easy, but Heather has been working her butt off, having a blast and laughing her ass off while writing it. Heather is just as busy as I am! She’s a successful comedian, producer/writer and this weekend married actress Heather Matarazzo known for her role as Lilly Moscovitz opposite Anne Hathaway in The Princess Diaries). I’m betting their wedding was beautiful, romantic and full of magic. Congratulations to them both!

On a side note, I’ve had numerous ideas for new books and I’m taking notes for a possible third book in the Julia Karr series. For now, I’ll continue to work, workout and eat nothing but nuts, lol.

That’s it for this mini update, folks. Catch you on the flip side!
